UHF is flat out funnyThis movie rules. It is funny the whole way through and I don't think you have to be a weird al fan to apreciate the comedy. It is slapstick, stupid humor... but isn't that the best kind? Buy it if you want to laugh. |

Orion Must Re-Release This Killer Film!Weird Al's genious comes right through in this outrageous comedy! I'm almost surprised that Amazon.com and Orion haven't taken notice of the superior reviews we have given this movie. Last nite I watched the movie for the thirteenth time on Comedy Central. It kept me up laughing all nite long. That must be why I'm half dead trying to type this out. Anyways, I have yet to find a funnier movie. In this film, Weird Al blows away anything that Adam Sandler might be able to do today. This film was true comedy heaven. Too bad I can't rate this film over 5 stars, because it deserves it! |

Greatest Zany Comedy of the 20th Century!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This review is from: UHF (DVD) This highly under appreciated film goes where no movie has gone before, breaking new ground for silliness and fun. Starring Weird Al (from ...his CD's), Michael Richards (from Seinfeld), Fran Drescher (from The Nanny) and many others. Guranteed laughs! Have seen it many times! Gotta love it! If you don't buy it, "You so stupid!!!!!!!!!". Can't wait for the DVD release!!!!!!!!!!! June 4 YES!!!!!!!! Thank you MGM & Weird Al!!! |

A brilliant performance by "Weird" Al Yankovic.UHF: A side-spliting comedy staring "Weird" Al and Michael Richards. The story is as follows: George Numan and pal Bob lose their job at BIG EDNA'S Burger World. Meanwhile George's uncle Harvey wins UHF channel 62. Now George and Bob must run the station, before total bankruptcy. |

UHF is a sweet movie.UHF is Weird Als only movie that he starred in. It is about GeorgeNewman who gets Channel 62 from his Uncle and that leads to a funnymovie that has everything a spoof needs like making fun if dialog, making fun the movies plot holes and the number of spoofs there isenormous and very funny. Weird Al Yankovic is a funny guy in this movieand seems to know what he is doing being a big screen star and shouldhave done quite a few more in my opinion. Overall I think this movie ishilarious and if you happen to see a copy of it some place then youshould get it and you will not be disappointed as long as you likeWeird Al Yanovics songs and hard core spoofs. So 84% |

Spatula City InsanityI had not seen UHF in quite a long time. Remembering that this movie made me laugh hysterically when i was younger, I jumped at the chance to pick up this DVD when i saw it. Though I had a few doubts that this movie would have lost its magic for me, I felt confident non the less and fearlessly made the purchase. I like a lot of Weird Al's stuff, I think he is much more talented than people give him credit for, and even though this movie got trashed at the box office, it became somewhat of a cult classic, and rightfully so. UHF is a unique combination of spoofs and a zany plot that I really enjoyed. The cast and characters were quite unique to say the least. Weird Al held his own, but Michael Richards steals the show. You know him as the wonderful Kraimer from Seinfeld and he really is amazing in his role playing Stanley Spadowski. The supporting cast keeps the movie light and entertaining and the antics, spoofs and one-liners keep you at least mildly amuzed for most of the picture. There are a few scenes that were overly corny or dragged out too long, but all is forgiven in my mind once the Rambo scene breaks out.Overall, UHF is good stuff. It's a better movie for older people that can appreciate the spoofs on the 80's and its definately not a movie that everyone will enjoy. But if your looking for one of those wacky movies that doesnt always make sence, but is sure to make you laugh, check this one out because "We Got it all...on UHF!". |

Weird Al fan or Not, It's the best.If anyone complains about this movie because it's "Weird Al", I guess you have no idea that he'd been in the business for over 20 years, 10 album (11 coming soon), 2 grammys, 27 gold/platinum record in 3 countries, 1 TV show AND ONE HECK OF A MOVIE. He must be doing something right.I don't think Al was trying to be funny, all he was doing was being himself and let the other characters like Michael Richards, Gette Wantanbe and others to have the spotlight. I dont care if the thumb guys shoved theirs up where the sun don't shine about this movie. I only know it's funny, alot agrees on here and I am glad of that!! The DVD features shall be as entertaining as the movie itself. |

No Talent = No SalesWierd Al, huh? Weird is correct, but talented you say? I think not. He is a professional plagiarist. He makes his living from walking in the shadows of other talented artists. And UHF is ranked five stars? What a complete slash on American citizens. Apparently, we have nothing better to do. Michael Richard of Seinfeld fame, was lucky that this movie did not ruin his career. I give it 1 star and that is only because I could not give it a zero. |

Only see it if your'e a "Wierd Al" fan, though. Your'e going to have a heck of a time trying to find it, though. It was also on laserdisk. |

Hey! Dis is Raul Hernandez, filming from my apartment! Please re-release this. Otherwise, how will I learn to teach poodles how to fly? You're all steenkin' badgers! (Who wrote the description? It was Weird Al's Uncle who won the deed.) |

'Badgers?? We don't need no steenkin' Badgers'!!This is the one film I return to for a damn good laughter! No summary canexplain the appeal of this film, but quotes?'Did you know that turtles are natures suction cups?'And when Stanley are chased by the hoods and runs past a 'supplies'-locker,up goes the door, and a lot of japanese karate-experts rushes out, yelling'supplies!' Some surprise!!!And Stanley Spadowsky's clubhouse 'Ooh, free toy, free toy'? And Al playingRambo and just kills like 150 people. Or Stanley: 'My mop, mymop'!!!Can't really figure why this one wasn't that succesful? It should appeal toall us 9-years olds!!7.5/10 |

Remaster for DVD!Or failing that, just re-releasing on video would be good... Come on - whoever has the rights to this movie (you know who you are) make yourself some money and us happy at the same time. You're depriving us all of purchasing it, forcing us to watch inferior, pirated copies! Oh yeah, a review: I can honestly say that this is the greatest movie ever made (with Conan the Librarian coming a close second). |

The plot isn't the pointIt's a real shame this beast didn't do better at the box office; thankheaven it has found its niche among cultish Weird Al fans and 9-year-oldseverywhere.I saw this in the theater when it first came out. Although I've seen morecerebral and highbrow comedies I have never laughed so hard in my life as Idid at "UHF". From the sight gag at the very beginning with the tiki headgiving a raspberry to the karate guys bursting out of the supply closet inthe denouement ("SUPPLIES!") this movie is a consistent howler. It's less acoherent whole than a series of set pieces which are almost entirelyextremely funny.Interesting also are the before-they-were-huge-stars performances, notablyFran Drescher and Michael Richards, who is vaguely disturbing as kiddie-showhost Stanley Spedowski. The PG-13 rating is very harsh. There's a lot here that younger kids willget a real bang out of. I'd say anyone over the age of about 7 will flipover "UHF", unless you're an insufferable snob. |

Rare these days, but worth finding!!!Anyone that can make a million bucks playing parodies of popular songs on his accordian deserves your undying devotion. Weird Al is the greatest, and this film proves that he can extend his genius into feature films as well. Although I doubt that another film is forthcoming, and this film will likely remain a "cult classic" only, it's a great effort and it deserves to be RE-RELEASED! If you can't buy it--rent it! Phone every video store in town if you have to! It's worth finding! The soundtrack is great too, if you can get it. |

Hilarious!!I watched this film like 12 years ago and laughed my hiny off. Sincethen sadly I've been unable to find it anywhere, which is a big pitysince I would really like to have it on DVD - or even VHS for thatmatter..Weird Al did a parody which even other parody films like Naked Gun andScary Movie in any way can like up to. I sincerely wonder how come hiscareer never became bigger than it did. The man is without a shred ofdoubt of the biggest comedic geniuses in the world. A hilarious film from start till end, back then I watched it like 20times and never grew tired of it. Definitely recommend it!8/10 |
